All that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity
for development accorded the individual.
- Albert Einstein

In the Trenton Habs brief history, our organization has developed a
proven track record for moving up qualified candidates to the next level.
Players from our less than 2 year old program are now participating in
the ACHA Div. 1, NCAA , and minor pro.
this success comes increased exposure as other programs seem
to be asking themselves, "What are the Trenton Habs doing differently?"

As a result, Trenton Habs General Manager and Defenseman Development Coach,
Eric Brule, has been chosen by the NAHL's Corpus Cristi IceRays to be a part of the
game coaching operation and coordination for their club's Main Camp.  This camp
will run from July 29-31 in Dallas, TX and will feature some of the United States top
Junior Level hockey players competing for 25 spots on this elite team.  In 2010-2011
the NAHL turned out over 100 NCAA college commitments from this 26 team league.

In developing this relationship, Coach Brule vision is to create an East Coast feeder
program for the IceRays, referring them NAHL ready prospects to the IceRays in transition
for the IceRays loaning the Habs their Top NAHL young Junior Prospects with a year of  pro training and instruction in the Trenton
Habs organization, that their development will be accelerated to NAHL caliber in the shortest time possible and for their top
prospects to get a early Eastern Exposure look as well prior they are ready to go to Texas. Last season Michael Benedict from the
IceRays has committed to NCAA D-I Niagara University.
Relationships are the backbone of recruiting, and the Habs look forward to a successful season of development for both programs.
Go Habs!

HABS host the 2011
Canton Showcase

Canton Showcase provides IJHL immediate College Exposure  SOLD OUT

For the 2nd year in a row, the Trenton Habs, will be hosting an On-Campus Showcase for IJHL and select International teams.
The September 16-18 event will feature league matchups for the Habs against some of their Mid-Atlantic Rivals, as well as
Showcase several of the IJHL Elite division teams, like the Habs affiliate the NJ Raiders. The showcase is for Junior A and B
levels.

Junior Hockey is the pinnacle of Amateur Hockey in the USA Hockey program, and is designed for select athletes to showcase
their talents to professional and college recruiters.  In keeping with the Habs overall mission, the Canton Showcase is one of, if
not the only, Junior Showcase in the country that is played on an On-Campus College Rink.

SUNY-Canton Athletics broke ground on their state of the art field house in 2006, and it has become one of the finest collegiate
venues in the country.  In addition to the SUNY- Canton rink, this 40 million dollar state of the art facility, holds basketball courts,
a swimming pool, athletic center and beautiful classrooms. From a hockey recruiting standpoint, not only will the facility provide
great sightlines, but Canton, NY is located in the center of the upstate New York Hockey hotbed that hosts college programs at
SUNY-Potsdam, Clarkson University, RPI, SUNY- Plattsburgh, St. Lawrence University and several more.  IJHL teams
participating in the tournament will have the opportunity to tour these campuses, speak to college officials, and potentially be
scouted for placement.  Moreover, the September dates provide the ideal time frame to be seen by college scouts as classes
will just have begun, but the NCAA hockey season will still be several weeks away.

The showcase is a North American Hockey Association ( NAHA ) sanctioned event and will be utilising the IJHL rules including
the NON-fighting section of the book.

It took nearly 6 months and hundreds of man hours, but after an exhaustive hunt the
Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey program is pleased to announce the signing of Mark
Burton, a 6'3" 195lbs. goaltender from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  The signing of
Burton fills a vital piece of the roster, and solidifies the stable of netminders that the
Habs hope will form the backbone of the 2011-2012 season.

Burton will be entering his final year of eligibility of Junior Hockey, after playing in
Manitoba last season, and the Maine Moose of the IJHL, where he was a league
all-star, in 2009-2010.  The team hopes a veteran presence will compliment Kents
Hill graduate Dakota Jankovic and Princeton High School Senior Josh Berger.

After enjoying a stellar High School career with the Auburn Eagles program in Nova
Scotia, Burton has traveled around North America the last 3 years pursuing his
hockey ambitions.  He had this to say about himself, "Im one of the hardest working
players on the team no matter the team I play for. Im always the first on the ice and
the last coming off. I push my self to the limits. I can read the play well... just give me
the chance to play and I wont let you down."

The Habs family, friends, coaching staff, team and sponsors welcome Mark's
arrival.  His veteran leadership, size, accountability, and attitude are the ideal
matches for a program that stresses discipline and attention to detail, above all
else.  Congratulations Mark, and GO HABS!
Habs goalie coach John Zdunkowitch had this to say: "Mark will be a key element of the team not only with abilities on the ice, but
also from his leadership off the ice as well specifically when times are tough. Mark is a natural leader. I welcome him on my
goaltending staff this season with Jankovic and Berger."
GM Eric Brule had this to say: "From the list of goaltenders we had since April Mark came on top. The major thing that made him
get the position over other great goaltenders including some from Montreal, is his attitude and respect of the game he has, you
can't teach that, he knows very well the way it works on the goaltending operations such as " I am jumping on the opportunity "
attitude versus of others who has the " I deserve to be there " attitude, as to the next level is a big difference. Goaltending is way
more than movement and stopping pucks. With the addition of Mark, we are very comfortable with our goaltending staff for the
season. Mark is also a great student with a GPA of 4. Currently Mark is training everyday with his private goalie coach Jack
Hartugan in Halifax on and off the ice and like they say up in Canada, "he is not coming down here for a fishing trip".
Mark Burton had this to say: " I'm very exited to join the team and not only winning games but also having a shot at the
Championship".

In our continuing philosophy of advancing hockey skills and promoting our players
to the next level, the Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey team showcased their talented young
Forward Justin Goldstein, at the Albany, NY tryout for the NAHL's Corpus Christi Ice
Rays.

Maintaining a good relationship with programs at the next level, be it NCAA, USHL,
NAHL, European or North American Pro, is essential for choosing where you want
your young hockey player to develop.  In the Trenton Habs short history, we have
already proven to be successful in fullfilling this key component of the Junior Hockey
experience.

Over the Father's Day weekend, young Mr. Goldstein, a key member of the 2011
IJHL Mid-Atlantic championship team impressed Corpus team General Manager
Pat Dunn and Assistant Coach Justin Quenneville, by exemplifying a 2- way style of
play and maximum effort.  In making the tryouts weekend "All-Star" team, he was in
the running for scoring leader for his age group, and turned many of the team brass'
heads.
Justin, a sophomore at Rutgers Prep, will be returning to the Capital City in 2011-2012 aiming to take the Habs to the IJHL
league title. Yet with another year of development, hard work, and attention to detail, young Mr. Goldstein could find himself in an
IceRays uniform.  Way to go Justin!

"Last season I played for the IJHL Junior A Trenton Habs, under coaches Eric Brule and Oktay Armagan. As a first year Junior
player, I was challenged both on and off the ice, constantly improving my skills, which made me a smarter and more successful
hockey player. The success of our season was highlighted by winning the Mid-Atlantic title and playing in the IJHL
Championships. Recently, coach Brule recommended me to the NAHL Corpus Christi Ice Rays for a tryout. As a direct result of
the training I received from my coaches and the dedication I have to always improve my game,  I was able to compete with the
other players there, showcasing my talent as a skater, stickhandler and scorer. During the three-day tryout, the games were fast
and fluid, which I was totally prepared for. I scored goals, battled hard, and made the All-Star Team. Much of my readiness for this
high level of play is credited to Coaches Brule and Armagan, and I look forward to another year of training with them in the
coming season."
Justin Goldstein.

Former Montreal Canadiens Captain Saku Koivu once said, "We were doing a lot of
positive things but then we lost the puck two times in our zone and things swung their
way. You can't afford to give teams momentum.
"

In the continuing momentum of the 2011-2012 recruiting class, the Trenton Habs Jr.
Hockey team has announced their 2nd high-profile signing this week.  Chris Watkins, a
6'2" 195lbs Forward from Spokane, WA, brings to the Habs post-graduate intangibles
after having spent last season at Bridgeton Academy in Maine.  He was recruited to
play ACHA Div. 1 hockey this season, but opted instead for a final season of Junior
Hockey to accelerate his development and get seen by NCAA college hockey recruiters.
Coach Trimble has recommended him highly to GM Eric Brule and Head Coach Oktay
Armagan, based upon his excellent leadership qualities, Bridgeton's outstanding
reputation, and Chris' devotion to seeing his goal of playing NCAA college hockey
reached.

The Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey Club welcome Chris Watkins to this season's squad,
and look forward to him helping to bring a championship to the Capital City.  Good Luck
Chris!
GM Eric Brule had this to say about Watkins: " Chris is a very deticated young man on and off the ice. He comes from a " hockey
family" where they billet players for the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL.....all the way back when I was playing in the Memorial Cup
with the Sagueneens of Chicoutimi ( Representing LHJMQ ) against the Spokane Chiefs ( representing the WHL ) to bring
back great memories. In class Chris is an Excellent student and on the ice, Chris has a simple two way game and intense
that brings high energy and leadership on the table. Not only Chris will bring a lot of charactor his own way to the team, but
also could get some potential interest from NCAA D-III schools".

Soyez le bienvenue aux Trenton Habs Francois Berube!

For the 1st time in the Trenton Habs history, the organization has not only reached
across borders to attract outstanding young hockey players, but also across cultures, by
announcing the signing of 16 year old Forward Francois Berube.

Francois, a 5'11" 185lbs. player from Baie Comeau, Quebec, spent last season
competing in the highly competitive Quebec provincial prep school leagues, and comes
to the Trenton Habs on the outstanding recommendation of their international scouting
connections.  He is the first French Canadian Hockey player to sign with the Trenton
Habs program, and in breaking through such a barrier Asst. Gm/ Asst. Coach Andrew
Trimble is paying close attention to making his adjustment to the language and culture
as seemless as possible.  Coach Trimble had this to say about Francois, "Francois has
above average size for his age and I envision him being a physical, forechecking forward
with a very solid offensive skill set.  It takes a unique young man to travel such a great
distance to pursue his aspirations, and we all believe Francois has the perfect make up
to make the most of his opportunity.  Our staff knows the capabilities of our training
program, and we will take extra special care of Francois... He's the first French Canadian
player, but we see many more choosing the Trenton Habs in the future."
The Trenton Habs hockey family welcomes Francois Berube.  Allez Habs Allez!
GM Eric Brule had this to say about Berube: " Me and Francois comes from your classic Canadian small blue collar town where
hard work, dedication and discipline on a consistent basis is a Habit of life not an inconvenience. He is a natural fit on the team on
and off the ice, as I was in his same position at my 1st time in the USA, I could not speak English and I had to learn it the " hard
way" . We look forward to give Francois the best experience on and off the ice and the opportunities ahead  the Trenton Habs
organization has to offer. Local People are starting to ask me " why all this interest from players from " Hot Hockey market " such as
Quebec, Cleveland, Halifax, Spokane.......the answer is simple, with USAH new approach on Junior hockey as to let the market
work itself attitude...instead of the past where programs where advertising base on their logos......the player understands the
importance/value of professional coaching and having a strong structure for development and opportunities, without development
the player can not move up and the " logo " won't do it by itself and on top of that the scouts at the next level are looking for the
product 1st. Francois style of play remains me of Raffi Torres of the Vancouver Canucks he will bring high energy and intensity on
the table".
I am very happy to join the Trenton Habs team for the upcoming season.  Being raised in a French environment from a small
town in Quebec, Canada,  I am anxious to discover New Jersey and meet my new teammates.  I’ll do everything I can to help
the Habs WIN the Championship!

The Trenton Habs are pleased to announce the signing of Cleveland,
Ohio's Russell Armbruster.  Russell, a 5'11" 175lbs. forward, is a 2-Way
hockey player who will greatly benefit from the Trenton Habs intensive
hockey training, as well as NAHL and NCAA connections.  As the
2010-2011 captain of his Medina High School Hockey Team in the very
competitive North Coast High School Hockey League, Russell's
leadership and uptempo style of play should add a gritty component to
this years Trenton Habs recruiting class.

Russell was recommended during the NAHL's Corpus Christi, Texas
tryout camp, as with a solid year of training, development, and exposure,
Russell could find himself as a candidate to join the Corpus Cristi club in
2012-2013.

The Habs welcome Russell's arrival and look forward to him contributing
to an already stellar recruiting class.  Congratulations Russell!
Russell had this to say: " I am looking forward to joining the Habs this season. Also i am very excited to join the program".
General Manager Eric Brule had this to say: Russell comes from a Detroit like hockey market and from a athletic family where
not only they have passion for the game and value the coaching/training and development but also they respect the game as
well. On the ice Russell reminds me of my former captain at the Lawrenceville School Chris Zaires ( Currently at Brown U. )
with not only his skill but also the grit to go to the net, loose pucks, his leadership and his " Team 1st attitude". I am confident
with the combination of our professional coaching and training method, Russell has the potential to go NCAA in the future.

The Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey club has announced the signing of James Kelly, a 6' 3",
195lbs forward from the Columbus Icemen of the Indiana High School Hockey
Association.  James, Columbus' captain and one of the top 5 scorers in the state in
2010-2011, was first scouted by the HABS regional scouting staff at the prestigious
America's Showcase in Pittsburgh, PA.  The America's Showcase is designed to
enhance the opportunities for the best high school aged hockey players in the United
States.
General Manager Eric Brule had this to say about the signing, "James is a great Student
Athlete on and off the ice.  He has skill,     character, and discipline. A great  "Two way "
player with great work habit on and off the ice, on top of his 6'3 frame, he is a great fit for
College hockey .........James is one of those easy to coach, very serious players who is
not afraid to go the extra mile.  He is a "work out freak", and watches what he eats.
James is a natural  fit to the organization's philosophy and will bring instant leadership
to the team along with the others.  With head coach Armagan's abilities and structure,
James should develop very well."

Here is James Kelly's stat line from the 2010-2011 season-
18 gp  24 goals 17 assists 41 points

The Habs family welcomes his arrival, and looks forward to him completementing an
already outstanding recruiting class.  Good Luck James!

With limited budgets and time, top recruiters can not go to every
Junior Hockey Showcase...
so the Habs staff is now bringing the players right to the coaches
computers.

Asst. General Manager Andrew Trimble, after making the initial
contact between college
coach and player, will assemble footage from a recent game
and break down the film,
cutting and pasting to provide a visual record of the players
on-ice performance.
These video's are not "highlight" videos, where they take in
the best 5 or 10 plays
over 6 months and leave all the glaring mistakes out, but rather
"recruitment" videos
that demonstrate the players footwork, game sense, and skill- base.  This gives the
coach a more accurate account of the prospective players potential.

After providing the video, a campus visit is scheduled and the recruitment process continues...

This December 10th weekend, in which the Habs will have off, players will be visiting NCAA
programs at Utica College and Nazareth College, meeting with the coaching staff and getting
campus tours.  Local ACHA college trips are also in the works.

Here is an example of such a recruitment video-

Armbruster PLAYER OF THE WEEK!

Congratulations to Russell Armbruster, the Trenton Habs
Jr. Hockey team's player of the week for the weekend of
November 27, 2011!
The 5'11" Forward from Cleveland, Ohio tallied 4 goals in
Sunday's Divisional matchup against the New York Jr. Aviators.
Russell is spending his first year with the Habs organization,
and has displayed tremendous 2-way ability all season long.
His offensive explosion is the result of continued hard work,
practicing good habits, and leading by example.  So far on the season, Russell has averaged better than a point per game, and
attracted strong interest from schools such as Syracuse University and Adrian College... schools who recognize Russell's excellent
work habits in the college courses he is taking, the extra hours he is putting in at the gym, and his continued development on the ice.

The Habs will be following up their strong post- Thanksgiving Holiday performance with a solid week of training, and looking to best
divisional rival Philadelphia next weekend in a home and home series.  Congratulations Russ.... and GO HABS!

Congratulations to Joe Cangelosi,

the Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey team's player of the week for the weekend
of November 11, 2011!

The 6'3", 190lbs 1993-birth year Forward tallied a hat trick in the league
matchup against the Syracuse Stampede.  The Syracuse matchup was
an opportunity for the Habs to avenge the loss they suffered to them at the
SUNY- Canton Showcase, and the team responded with a resounding 7-3
victory.  Joe's offensive output helped Trenton go undefeated at the
showcase, climbing up the Mid-Atlantic division's standings, and his
continued production has landed him atop some of the IJHL's statistical
leader- boards.

The Habs travel this week for a Tuesday game at the famed Nassau Coliseum against divisional foe, the Long Island Wolfpack.  With
Joe focused and ready, the Habs look to carry their momentum straight through the holidays... GO HABS!

Congratulations to Mark Burton,
Trenton Habs Player of the Week for November 4, 2011!

In the 2 game weekend sweep of the Philadelphia Jackals,
Burton limited the opposition to 1 goal against, and made
timely saves along the way.

Burton is in his final year of eligibility of Junior Hockey,
after playing in Manitoba last season, and the Maine Moose of the IJHL,
where he was a league all-star, in 2009-2010. After enjoying a stellar
High School career with the Auburn Eagles program in Nova Scotia,
Burton has traveled around North America the last 3 years pursuing his hockey ambitions.  So far he has demonstrated consistent
leadership for the Habs, kept them in each and every game, and been the reliable foundation as they attempt to get back to the
championship game in 2012.  With him turning heads and turning pucks away, Mark could quite possibly find himself back in this
January's all-star game...

The Habs travel Thursday to Upstate New York for a 2 game battle against the 1st and 2nd place teams in the IJHL Mid-Atlantic
Division, the Syracuse Stampede and the Northern New York Gamblers.   Congratulations Mark, good luck this Friday.... and GO

HABS RECOGNIZED BY NCAA SCHOOLS

Several Players slated to visit their potential College
Campus' during their Game- Free Weekend!

Several Habs players are slated to spend the last weekend
in October not visit homes trick or treating, but rather visiting
college campus' and speaking to their potential College Coaches.

Kyle Huhn, 1994- birth year Defenseman, will be traveling to Lebanon
Valley College in central Pennsylvania and will be given a full tour by
Head Coach Don Parsons.  As part of the entry process, Lebanon
Valley requires an on-campus interview to be conducted by a member
of the admission staff, and Kyle is eager to get this part of the process
completed.  "
I am looking for a big rebuilding year and I think Kyle would
be a big part of it!  I am familiar with your program and Eric Brule, Whom I
played against many years ago!  I am sure you would only send quality
players!  I am looking forward to Kyles acceptance." Coach Parson's said
".

Ocean County College Professor & Habs Academic Advisor Richard Trimble, spent the past few days catching up with the
professors of his three undergraduate students enrolled at OCC; James Kelly, Todd Renae, & Chris Watkins.  Since it is half-way
through the Fall semester, he wanted to make sure they were on the right path and in solid academic standing.  Both Watkins & Kelly
have spoken personally to new NCAA DIII ECAC- West member Nazareth College and their coach George Roll, who has shown an
interest in them becoming Golden Flyers in 2012.

Niagara University ACHA Coach Clay Miller had this to say to Asst. Gm/ Asst. Coach Andrew Trimble about the recruitment of
Forward Gabe DeLisa, "For next year we are looking for primarily forwards. We have a long history of recruits coming in and playing
right away. The past few years “rookies” have always figured prominently... At this juncture it is most important for Gabe to get all of
his paperwork into the University. From there we can start piecing together financial aid packages and the like."  Niagara University is
one of the many programs who have shown an interest in Habs players this Fall including; Fordham, MCC, William Paterson, SUNY-
Canton, Seton Hall, TCNJ and NJIT.

The Habs return to action with a league matchup against their rival the Philadelphia Jackals on November 4th & 5th at the Sun
Center in Trenton.  It is the goal of the coaching staff to see every member of the 2011-2012 Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey Team achieve
their highest ambitions in the sport... from the top scorer, to the 7th Defenseman.  It is our goal to improve your skills, develop your
abilities... and move you to the next level!

Lavoie player of the week

Bonjour Quebec,
Congratulations to William Lavoie,
the Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey team's player of the week
for the weekend of October 22, 2011!

The 5'9" 155lbs. Baie Comeau, Quebec native tallied a hat trick
in the home opener at Trenton's Sun Center against the Philadelphia
Little Flyers.
Although it was a non-league matchup the game was fast paced, and
in addition to providing a great precursor to the home opener played
later that night by the Trenton Titans ECHL team, the 7-2 final score in favor of the Habs helped build confidence for the rest of the
weekend.  Following up his performance against the Little Flyers William, tallied a key goal in the Habs 4-0 victory against league
rival, the Long Island Wolfpack.  In adjusting to a new language and gaining experience against a new level of play, William's efforts
have endeared him to his new teammates, as he quickly has become a key contributor.

The Habs are off this weekend, before playing host to Mid-Atlantic rivals the Philadelphia Jackals the following weekend at the Sun
Center.  With the William contributing on the scoresheet, the Habs look forward to continued success!  Go Habs!

Habs GM/Defensemen development
coach to be honored prior the ECHL Trenton Titans
home opener

The October 22nd Trenton home opener versus the Florida Everblades is set to
rechristen the franchise the "Titans", and in doing so is honoring their past.
Trenton Habs Jr. A General Manager and Defensemen development coach
Eric Brule is set to drop the puck for the home opener, with other distinguished
Titans alumni.  The Everblades matchup will be following the Habs vs.
Little Flyers Jr. A tilt set to start at 2:30pm.

GM Brule was one of the original captains of the Titans in the 1999-2000 season and part of affiliate farm team of the NHL
Philadelphia Flyers with teamates such as Vince WIlliams, Scott Bertoli, Ruslan Fedotenko.  When the Titans entered the ECHL it
was very different than the league it is now.  It was 30 teams, highly competitive, and extremely fan friendly.  The inaugural year had
the Titans play the role of the upstart underdog, and battle their way to the ECHL conference finals.  In the conference finals the
Titans faced the Peoria Rivermen, lead by current Cape Cod Islanders Coach Dan Hodge, and pushed them to the limit of a Game 7.

The new "Titans" franchise is looking to grow their once-thriving program through honoring their past and looking to the future of
hockey in the Capital City.  Congratulations Eric Brule.... and GO HABS!

Congratulations to Goaltender Josh Berger & Forward Joe Cangelosi

the Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey team's players
of the week for the weekend of October 15, 2011!

The Habs, back on track after their decisive victory on Friday night
over the Jr. Aviators, featured two very deserving recipients of player
of the week honors.  Berger's perfomance cemented his statistical
dominance of the IJHL Super Elite division, as he currently leads the
league with a paltry .67 GAA, and is 2nd in shutouts.  His 17 saves
on Friday night were the backbone of Trenton's 8-0 victory.

If Josh Berger was the defensive catalyst on Friday night, then
Joe Cangelosi was the offensive catalyst.  His 1 goal and 4 assists,
jump started the 2nd period offensive explosion for the Habs.
Currently he sits in 2nd place in the league's Assist Leader category,
and has been centering a line ( between Justin Goldstein & Francois Berube)
that was been extremely tough for opposing teams to defend.

The Habs play host this weekend in non-league action with their season
opener at the Sun Center on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 against the
Atlantic Junior Hockey League's Little Flyers.  Both Princeton-area natives
Berger & Cangelosi will continue to be counted on for maximum efforts.
As 1993- birth years, their learning and progression has already drastically
trended upward, and they are poised for greater success in the future.
Congratulations, and GO HABS!

Berube player of the week !

Bonjour Quebec,
Congratulations to Francois Berube, the Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey
team's player of the week for the weekend of October 9, 2011!

The 5'11" 185lbs. Baie Comeau, Quebec native tallied 3 assists in
the league matchup against previously unbeaten National Sports
Academy.  Displaying a gritty style all weekend, Francois' offensive
output helped the Habs against some of the top New
England-division teams in the league. In adjusting to a new
language and gaining experience against a new level of play,
Francois' efforts have endeared him to his new teammates.  As a
1994 birth-year Francois looks poised for a great future!

The Habs travel this weekend for a rematch against their local rival,
the NY Jr. Aviators on Friday night.  With the Francois giving max
effort, the Habs look forward to continued success!  Go Habs!

Habs sign Goaltender Kevin Giron

The Trenton Habs are pleased to welcome the addition
of Kevin Giron of Woodbridge, NJ.  Kevin is a 1995-age
goaltender who spent last year with the NJ Rockets, and
was invited to the USHL's Sioux City future prospect
camp last season.  The Habs staff believe his
coachability, youth, and technical ability will translate well
to the IJHL's higher level of play.  With solid coaching and
competing in a more advanced environment the Trenton
Front Office believes he will accelerate his game to the
next level.

Giron is the youngest member of the 3 rostered
goaltenders in the Habs organization, and will push the
veterans for playing time.  In limited game action, Giron
has already demonstrated the talent to play at this level
and, with continued development, beyond.

The Habs welcome Kevin's arrival and look forward to
seeing him in the red, white and blue!  Go Habs!

Congratulations to Sean Kacerosky, the Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey team's
player of the week for the weekend of September 16, 2011!
The 5'11" Defenseman from South Brunswick, NJ tallied a hat trick in
Sunday's Divisional matchup against the Philadelphia Jackals last
Sunday.  Sean is spending his second year with the Habs organization, as
well as finishing up his High School Hockey career at South Brunswick
HS.  He was a key playoff member of last year's Mid-Atlantic championship
squad, and was recruited by SUNY-Canton.  Sean's coachability, skating
ability and outstanding point shot, give him an excellent opportunity to be a
key contributor on a program at the next level.  So far on the season, Sean
has 4 goals, 5 assists for 9 points in the 7 games played till this point.

The Habs will be following up their strong start to the season with a solid
week of training this week, and looking to turn some heads at the Oct. 8-10
IJHL Showcase in Exeter, NH.  Congratulations Sean.... and GO HABS!

weekend matchups.  As a 1994 birth-year Justin looks poised for a great future! Justin
and other Habs players got solid attention from College scouts this past weekend
and hope his development will keep progressing over the season.

The Habs travel this weekend for a rematch against their 1st round Mid-Atlantic playoff
foe, the Philadelphia Jackals.  With the Justin giving max effort, the Habs look forward

Congratulations to James Kelly, the Trenton Habs Jr. Hockey team's player of the week for the weekend of September 10, 2011!

The Columbus, Indiana native tallied 4 goals in a 2 game road sweep of the NY Jr. Aviators.  Playing in all situations and with a gritty
2-way style, James' determination, creativity and leadership helped the 2011-2012 Jr. Habs set their IJHL regular season off on the
right foot, by making a profound statement against their Brooklyn-based league foes.  An increased offensive output, and consistent
effort was just what the Habs Front Office was looking to accomplish in this weekend matchup.

The Habs appear to be molding their collective styles to fit the scheme of Coach Oktay Armagan, and this attention to detail will,
hopefullly, produce terrific results in their upcoming SUNY- Canton Showcase weekend.  Congratulations James, and GO HABS!

Community Comes First... Habs Players integrating nicely in the Garden State

With this years Habs roster featuring so many "out of area" players, the Habs Front Office have been blessed with many outstanding
Billet Families.  These Families, from all corners of New Jersey, have taken it upon themselves to open up their homes and their
hearts to new arrivals on the Habs squad to little or no fanfare.  These parents efforts so far in the limited time the Habs have been in
the state have proven to be ideal role models and wonderful providers to their new "children".

Coach Trimble, who was a billet himself in Laconia, New Hampshire, had this to say about the experience, " In many cases, very
strong bonds are made between the player and his billet family. These relationships will often carry on for many years after the player
has left the team by way of; following the player in his future hockey career, Holiday and Birthday cards, Weddings...  Our players have
proven to be great role models for younger children in the billet family, as they demonstrate hard work and determination to achieve
tough goals."

A special thanks goes out to the Michael & Jill Sack, and Art & Lea Gutkin of Springfield, NJ, The Renae Family of Pt. Pleasant, NJ, The

Habs look outside area to follow new path

By steve stein ( USA Junior Hockey Magazine )

The Trenton Habs did just fine last season in the International Junior Hockey
League Super Elite Division, winning the Mid-Atlantic championship.
But the Habs weren’t satisfied. That’s  why the team changed its personnel
philosophy from a local roster to a mix of players from the Trenton area, other
states and even other countries. We’re always looking to put a better
product on the ice, and finding the best ways to move our players along to the
next level,” said Habs president/general manager and defenseman development
coach Eric Brule. The Habs have a core of players back from last year’s team to provide
continuity. But the rest of the team has hometowns scattered far and wide from New Jersey’s state capitol.
Among the new players are goalie Mark Burton from Halifax, Nova
Scotia; goalie  Dakota Jankovic from Wilmington, Del.; defenseman/
forward  Chris Watkins from Spokane, Wash.; defenseman  Tyler funk from
Phoenix, Ariz.; forward  James Kelly from Columbus, Ind.; forward  Russel
Armbruster from Cleveland, Ohio; forward  Francois Berube from BaieComeau, Quebec; and forward Nicholas
Rosenberg from Harrisburg, Pa.One of the Habs’ key returnees is
forward Justin Goldstein, from Kendall Park, N.J. The 16-year-old forward raised
eyebrows this summer at the Albany, N.Y., tryout for the Corpus Christi Ice
Rays of the North American Hockey League. Goldstein said he’s looking forward to working with his new teammates, and he
doesn’t think there will be a prolonged adjustment period between the two groups of players.“Our coaches know how to bring
guys
together,” he said. “Plus, they wouldn’t sign these new players if they couldn’t help our team.”Goldstein is hoping this season
will
launch him toward his ultimate goal of playing Division 1 college hockey. At 5-foot-7-inches and 155 pounds, he relies on his
speed and guile to create chances to score and occasionally give his team a man advantage.“I love to draw penalties when
guys come after me,” he said

Great Effort in Training Camp returns solid result at Philly Showcase

Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.
Winston Churchill

Following the Habs intensive 5 day Training Camp, the 2011-2012 squad took to the ice
against some of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League's top teams at the Philadelphia
Showcase at IceLine Rinks in West Chester, PA, and displayed tremendous grit and poise.
The weekend showcase, which the team competed in last year as well, is designed to
quickly introduce Junior level players to the advanced tempo and game speed of playing in their elite leagues.  Even though many of
the Habs players are newcomers to the team, and much younger than the 20 year old age limit, the Habs impressed college scouts
and their own coaching staff with outstanding effort, coachability, and gamemanship. The Team  is already way ahead from last year
at this time of the year.

The weekend showcase was scouted by SUNY-Canton and Penn State University.  Both of these respective programs coaching
staff's approached the Trenton Habs Management following their games against the Washington Jr. Nationals and the host-team,
Philadelphia Jr. Flyers.  SUNY-Canton and Penn State took particular notice to Forwards James Kelly and James Cangelosi, as well
as, defenseman Cody Newcombe.  All three players are newcomers on this year's squad.

Remember to follow the Habs all season long on IYM Sports Radio- http://iymsportsradio.com/   IYM will broadcast a great deal of
this season's games, and the playback will be available on the website's archive.  If the early season results are any indication, the
Habs should have a tremendous 2011-2012!  Go Habs!

NAHL Corpus Christi
Prospect signs with the HABS

With only 2 weeks to go before the 2011-2012
Trenton Habs training camp begins, Gm Eric Brule
has announced today the signing of Arizona native Tyler Funk.
Tyler, a 5'11" 165lbs D.O.B 1994 Defenseman was spotted
by Coach Brule as a prospect for the NAHL's Corpus Christi IceRays
during their main tryout camp.  Given that Tyler is going into his Senior year
of High School, he was felt to be a bit young for the current IceRays
roster, but with the professional training and coaching with the HABS
this incoming season, Tyler could be a prime prospect for their future.

Last season, Tyler played in USA Hockey's Tier 1 AAA elite league, for the
Phoenix Jr. Coyotes. Possessing good size for his age and with still room to grow,
Tyler is an excellent 2- way defender who moves the puck extremely well.
His great vision and "Team 1st" attitude give Tyler a very bright future ahead of him,
and the Habs staff is committed to accelerating his development and then placing him
at the next level, he is a great fit for the program.

GM Eric Brule had this to say:
" I had the chance to coach and evaluate Tyler at the NAHL Corpus Christi main camp in Dallas TX
this past week and Tyler has without a doubt a lot of potential. He is an excellent student-athlete, comes from an Athletic family in
Phoenix AZ that supports and respects the game 100% and understand the value of pro coaching and develop as well. Tyler has a
Team 1st attitude where doing the extra mile and facing bumps on the road is not an inconvenience but simply a habit of life. For his
young age, Tyler is very mature, has a lot of character and discipline as well. With the combination of his talent, attitude and
character on a consistent basis with our pro coaching/training method, I'm confident Tyler will move up to the next level."

We wish Tyler Funk, the Trenton Habs newest arrival much success in 2011 and beyond!  Go Habs!

In limited game action, Giron

quickly introduce Junior level players to the advanced tempo and game speed of playing in their elite leagues.

Go Habs!
Tyler Funk
